FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and Texas Professional Photographers Association. PPA and TPPA. On a yearly basis they respectively hold multiple conventions and seminars for furthering education. I love these times, it's the best way to learn new equipment, techniques, and get to know my peers in the profession. As well as meld creative minds and create fantastic collaborations!! Fun times! I love learning!!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I discovered I love helping others uncover a new perspective. How empowering for both my subject, and myself. Being able to capture the beauty I perceive and then share it and evoke emotion. No greater gift has been given to me, besides my children/family of course.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The equipment is a lot of the equation. Still, that is all it is. Equipment. Each piece needs a director to tell it what to do. How to interact with its brothers and sisters. Just to get a perfectly exposed, and composed image. When an observer, or especially a client, views an image and exclaims "What a great camera!" ....it really hurts. As though the camera did all the work!!! So many people have come to the conclusion that anyone can do this job. Then there are those that truly love every aspect of photography. They delve in it. They seek to learn and grow in it every day. That is the photographer I wish to take my families photos. Passionate. Committed. That is the photographer I seek to be.
