FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For resumes, pricing is 75-250 depending on the scope, the history, and whether it's straightforward or not. Websites vary enormously. Some clients just want the structure set up so they can fill in the content and images. We do that for $750. When we're doing the design it can go up to 1800 - 2500. If I do the SEO optimized copy to gain top position in the search results, and written to persuade the reader to take action, my fee is around $450/pg. It's all flexible and we need to talk to determine how the pricing will work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask questions and make notes about the client's answers. Most of this is done through email if possible so I have a written record and can go back and refer to it when I need to. I require a 50% deposit before I begin work, then the balance paid when it's complete. I ask questions as we go, and strive to please my client with the work. It becomes a collaborative process that produces the best results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly attending continuing education events. It's impossible to be effective with SEO without staying informed of Google's latest algorithms. I meet people all the time who offer what appears to be the same service I do, for lesser pricing, but haven't been trained in much except writing in high school english. Copywriting is a skill that must be constantly honed and developed. I'll be learning the rest of my life.
