Introduction: I will build furniture to the customer's specific order. I will also do custom cabinetry and built-ins. I have refurbished an old bank of World War II naval storage lockers for a boy's bedroom and built a custom sofa to match an early American rocking chair.
I just finished a reproduction of a 1780's slant front secretary/desk and am now building a mission style entertainment center. I've knocked out much of a wall and built in a unit boasting seven 30-inch deep drawers below, a serving platform above the drawers with a china cabinet behind the serving platform with mirrored back, glass shelves and lighted below and above with 4' fluorescent tubes behind frosted glass. I've added and matched kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawer fronts.

I was looking for furniture repair. Dan went out of his way to tell me I was better off replacing the broken furniture. If I ever need any furniture work done in the future, I will be contacting Dan because I now know he is honest. Thanks Dan!

Thank you for the kind words Melanie. While just about anything can be repaired, often it just makes more sense to replace. Building and repairing furniture is my passion. When I put my brand and signature on a piece it must be solid and beautiful enough to keep your delight in it for your lifetime. Repairing the break you described would lead to a break in another, adjacent area--that would not make you (or me) happy with me, especially if I knew beforehand it would happen. Good luck and I hope you get the sofa you want.
