I’ve put off writing this review because I’m still in awe that something like this could even happen. I have hired countless cleaners through Thumbtack and never had anything even remotely close to this happen. First, I got a text 8 minutes before that they’d be 30 minutes late. They ended up being 45 minutes late. Then about an hour in, I get a text that my “water alarm” is going off. I tell them I don’t know what a water alarm is, give them the security code thinking they maybe bumped the panel. That doesn’t fix it so I send my husband over to find out that they had used the toilet, clogged and flooded it and it poured from the upstairs bathroom and into the ceiling into the smoke detector. While he was there he noticed they were using the microwave to have a lunch break too. They also took the liberty of adjusting the AC to their personal preferences. Once they were finally finished, they had missed lots of vacuuming, used an entire roll of toilet paper and two rolls of paper towels (left for renters we were supposed to have coming by that evening) The owner offered a discount but it was still so much of a hassle to run back and forth, buy new products, buy a new smoke detector and have to vacuum the house again. Totally not worth the money.

Break Free Cleaning was very helpful for me! I needed my house cleaned before moving out and they were able to get it done for me. They were very professional and upfront about what things would cost. They even quoted me higher than it actually ended up costing!!

Definitely use these guys even they only have a few reviews. I was a little at first when they showed up as they don’t look like the typical cleaning crews I’ve hired in the past, but they do an excellent job and are very friendly and easy to work with. Their rates are exceptional too.

We charge a flat rate of $0.15/sqft but if the house is cleaner than normal we will knock it down, or if it is extremely dirty, or needs extra work for pet stains, it could go up.

You can either reach out to us through our website, or give us a call, or even text us and we can work out the details.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I learned a lot from my older brother, who has been in the business for years. We figured that this service is very necessary, and can be inconvenient at times for home owners or realtors to have to worry about handling on their own.
