Introduction: I do family history and genealogy research in the United States, Germany, and generally in Central Europe. I am located just 20 minutes from the world-famous Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, so I have easy access to millions of rolls of microfilmed records from all across the world.
I read and translate old German records, as well as modern-day texts (see below). Do you have letters, postcards, photos, or journals written in the old German script? Give me a call and I can help!
For everyday or moderately difficult German, I'm your man. For more technical translations, I may be able to help you find a good match. I am not a certified translator, but I lived and worked in Germany, speaking German for 2 years.
I also majored in German Studies at BYU. I am ACTFL (American Counsel on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) certified at the "Advanced-Mid" level for spoken German, and at the "Advanced-Low" level for written German.
Do you need a tour guide? I love helping people connect with their roots in Europe. My associates and I can arrange and guide a tour of your ancestral homeland. In Germany, Austria, and much of Switzerland, I speak the language. Let's go see Europe! Give me a call!
