- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my MSW from the University of Utah and am licensed as an LCSW. To maintain that licensure, I am required to attain a minimum of 40 credits of continuing education every two years. Specifically, that education must be certified by the Utah Department of Professional Licensing and deemed relevant to my scope of practice. Despite this minimum requirement, I usually average about 30 credits per year and 60 credits every two years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Becoming a psychotherapist was an early career goal of mine, beginning around high school. I got here as quickly as I could.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I began my career working with adolescents and families. From their, I began focusing increasingly on adults in a broad range of mental illness and substance abuse. Most currently, I've spent the past 5 years working primarily with adults doing both individual and couples therapy.
