We had The Salamanders play at our daughter's wedding and it was OVER THE TOP!! Working with the band could not have been more seamless. My daughter and I worked out a "special" father-daughter dance and they customized an arrangement for us and it worked out awesome. We were able to provide a dance song list and more importantly a "Do Not Play" list AND they learned some new current songs for us as well. They never took a break and literally no one left the dance floor all night!!!!!!!!! They were able to provide classical guitar work for the ceremony, light music by a trio at the cocktail reception right after the ceremony and then the relentless PARTY music at the reception. There was not a single attendee that has not commented it was the best wedding reception party they have ever been to. Thank you Salamanders for everything, it would not have been the same without you, if I EVER need a band for anything you are my first call. GREAT JOB!!

World class performance for a great price! We had a quartet (keys, standing base, drums, vocalist) at our formal awards banquet last week. They arrived on time with their own equipment, played well known songs in a classy lounge style, and they were able to pack up quickly so that we could present our awards. They abided by our formal dress code and even took requests! This band really set the tone of our banquet, and got great reviews from the audience. Our banquet wouldn't have been the same without them. I would definitely recommend this crew to someone who is looking for a versatile team of musicians. They played beautifully together and, from some of the videos I've seen, can get quite lively! We will for sure be booking them again. Thank you!

WOW! What a night! I am a wedding planner in Montana and I have wanted to hire The Salamanders for a wedding for a couple of years. I was finally given the opportunity to do so. Thank you all so much for your professionalism, talent and time. You made the Lohman wedding the event of the year! I cannot tell you how much positive feedback I received from the family and all of the guests. The father of the bride is still on cloud nine after his epic crowd surf. Thank you for allowing are guests to come on the stage with you, for playing non-stop for over three hours, and for being so darn nice and accommodating. I have never worked with a band that was so perfectly dialed in and who I didnt have to worry about! The ceremony, the sound, and the dance party was more perfect than I could ever ever imagined. Thank you for bringing your talent to Montana.

Dear Salamanders (one of the groups that Utah Live Bands reps),Thank you. Thank you for helping us throw the best party of the summer and the best party of our lives. When Tyler and I started to create the vision for our wedding, one of the pieces we were especially adamant about was that we have a great cover band. A group that could help capture the attention and energy of every generation at the wedding - and with nearly 400 guests, we had about every possible generation represented. We wanted people on the dance floor the entire time. We wanted to answer the question 'How are we going to shut this party down?" and not 'How are we going get people out on the dance floor?". You guys delivered all of that and then some. You delivered the groom and father of the bride their first time crowd surfing. You allowed a close family friend to jump in on the drums. You brought my friends and me on stage for a dance party. You NEVER took a break (people are STILL in awe. It was literally the one thing that everyone talked about for weeks after the wedding.). The Salamanders added the magic to our wedding and got every single person out on the dance floor. You were amazing and we can't tell you how much we appreciated the energy, enthusiasm, charisma, and charm that you brought. It truly made our celebration one that people will remember. And most importantly, one that we will remember as one of the best, most fun days of our lives. If you ever need a reference, I would be more than happy to provide one for you. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we'll discuss your event and what type of atmosphere/music you're hoping for. We'll also discuss any budgeting or other concerns you may have. We'll then recommend bands that will be the best fit for you, your event, & your guests. All our bands have video/audio files, song lists, and other promo materials to make it easy to see if it's the right vibe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Not only are our musicians the most experienced studio & event musicians around, most of them have college degrees in music performance, education, and other related fields.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
While earning our degrees in music performance from local Universities, we saw a need for specialized event bands in the state that was not being filled. We started producing bands that perform music that people wanted to hear rather than just what local bands felt like performing. Since 2008 we've grown every year and have won more than 20 Best of State awards.
