Introduction: Whitney has always had a soft spot for music. Growing up on the farm, she took every opportunity to practice and perform. Grit and passion landed her a place in Brigham Young University's School of Music. While training there she had the opportunity to travel and perform around the world, including Mongolia, South Korea, and Japan. After years of study, she found herself performing professionally in the United States Army Band all around the state of Utah and in special events, such as The Stadium of Fire. She is recommended and works with Piano Gallery to fix and tune pianos and as well as keeps her piano playing up by accompanying Lakeview Elementary’s Children’s Choir. Today she looks to spread her love of music to the young and young at heart through specialized lessons and piano maintenance.

Whitney is great! She's always on time and knows what she's doing with tuning and repairs. She can fix anything and really listens to you when you have a problem with your piano!

What can I say, besides she definitely looks like she knows what she is doing. Piano sounds great. Was able to glue and fix up a few keys that weren’t staying in tune.

Whitney did a such a great job with our piano! It was an older piano and was needing a lot of help, now it’s as good as new! She even gave us options for repairing some broken pieces and replacing a few parts that I didn’t even realize were missing. If you’re looking for great quality at a great price Whitney is your girl.

The first piano lesson is always free, so don’t be afraid to come see if it is right for you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve played piano for over 20 years. I graduated in music from BYU and am currently a musician in the US Army band stationed in Utah. I have played all over the state of Utah and around the world, including Mongolia, South Korea, and Japan. I am a professional musician and won’t stop playing and sharing my love for music. I’ve also had years of intense training as a piano technician. I love working on things and seeing and hearing a great end product.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I graduated in music and was searching for a job in music. I was interested in piano work. I showed up to a piano shop to ask some questions and got hired on the spot! It was like it was meant to be. Also, I starting teaching piano when I was in high school. I love working with younger children and helping them learn to love this beautiful instrument.
