Introduction: I am looking for singers that love to sing and want to improve fast. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an emerging professional. My goal is to get results in your singing. To accomplish this, I will give you practical tools to help your breathing, support, phonation and resonance so that the beauty of your voice will shine and you can sing with ease. I teach primarily on Zoom and I have found it to be quite effective. I have been singing professionally for 25+ years and I have the experience and know-how to teach you how to sing.

I was part of Dr. Lindsay's studio a couple of years ago. Dr. Lindsay taught me how to sing technically in the operatic style and helped me make significant improvements to my technique in just a few short months. He worked very hard with me, saw potential in me, and helped me polish my voice by working with the basic techniques of classical voice. Something that I admire about his teaching is that he gives you examples. When he wants you to improve a particular skill, he first shows you how to do it, and then asks you to give it a try. This was especially helpful for me because that is how I learn best. Along with being a stellar coach, Dr. Lindsay is an incredible performer. He has an incredible talent to both sing and act. He has very impressive, domestic and international, experience that is hard to find amongst most voice coaches offering lessons. The final and most important thing I could say is that Dr. Lindsay truly cares for his students and wants them to become great performers. He will always cheer you on. If you are serious about growing your talent, Dr. Lindsay is one of the best options out there!

Dr. Lindsay is a fantastic voice teacher. He has been able to bring out aspects in my voice that I never thought possible. He is very knowledgeable and works through difficulties and problems with patience and persistence, but never gets angry or gives up. He brings a comfortable demeanor to each lesson so that you feel unashamed of making mistakes and trying until you work together to get it right. I would highly recommend Dr. Lindsay as a voice teacher.

I am an aspiring opera singer and I really needed someone to teach me how to sing. I chose Dr. Lindsay because of his vast experience. I wanted a teacher who has actually made a living performing opera. I'm so lucky to have found such a great teacher. He individualizes his teaching to my needs. As a tenor, he was able to demonstrate how to manage the passaggio and upper register. My breathing and support also improved tremendously. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lindsay to any of my friends.

If you need to cancel a lesson, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the first lesson, I will have you warm up your voice and do a series of vocal exercises. I will assess your voice and teach you the foundation of good vocal technique. I will first teach you the appoggio technique of breathing. I will then discuss phonation and resonance in singing. I will give you goals and specific exercises and songs that will help you achieve your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music and doctorate degree from Indiana University, both in vocal performance. I have sung over 500 performances of opera in opera houses in America and Europe.
