I live in New York and hired Nick Gottwald to represent my brother in Salt Lake City. My brother’s divorce was anything but straightforward. Nicholas Gottwald was quick in understanding the situation, was able to draft the documents quickly with very minimal edits on personal data (good notes taking), and we were able to file and conclude in a record time. He answered emails promptly, did not need any reminders for follow-ups. He was professional all along, very pragmatic, very responsive. It took a long time for me to decide on a Divorce.. So when I decided to find an attorney and someone that has been in the legal industry I knew I had to find a good attorney because I knew I was in for a fight for my life. I needed a hero. I interviewed with several attorneys none of which I will not name but did not like either because they do not do their own litigation on their own cases nor there was no reassurance from the attorney on how I was going to get out of an abusive marriage . I knew within five minutes I had found the guy. My protector. The hero I mentioned earlier when I meet with Nicholas Gottwald I knew I met an intelligent, reassuring rare attorney and hired him that week. He helped me with a difficult situation and treated me with respect and had my back every step of the process. As a paralegal I knew alot of attorneys don't do court. They don't find out till they passed the bar but not all attorneys can stand in court and protect you. Also not alot of attorneys have empathy for the situation your in. If they can't reassure you as to their method, or madness as I call it don't hire them. You can trust Nick to be current on state and federal laws . He is there everytime I called. A true human. I don't charge for consultation and I am interested in learning more about you and your case, but you should understand that I cannot begin working on your case until you have paid the initial retainer payment. Every case has its own circumstances that will influence the hourly rate and initial retainer payment -This is something we would cover in more detail in the free consultation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have at least one in-office meeting with a new client, but if that is not possible, we can just speak on the phone. After determining how I can help, and discussing the hourly rate and initial retainer payment, I would hit the ground running on your case.
