Somatic Singing is all about strengthening the voice through emotional connection, body awareness, and rooted self trust. In my career as a full time musician, I struggled deeply with performance anxiety. I was in voice lessons for years and still I didn’t feel like I was getting the tools I needed to regulate the emotional blocks and anxieties that would surface while performing. I love working with people who are looking to deepen the connection with their voice through embodiment whether that be singing for yourself, in front of your friends, at karaoke, or on the big stage! I believe music is medicine, and because of that singing is a beautiful form of understanding your own feelings that often rest under the surface of emotional blocks we carry throughout life’s experiences. I know for many people the thought of singing in front of anyone can feel very daunting, that’s why I center my focus around helping people to find that self love, confidence, and connection.
