John Telford Photographs

My very diverse background has prepared me to do a variety of professional quality work. I have photographed for national publication such as LIFE and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED as well as authored over 20 books. I have photographed leading political and religious leaders including Senator Orrin Hatch and First Lady Barbara Bush as well as LDS Church President Thomas Monson. I also photographed the Coronation ceremonies and festivities of the King of Tonga. I have completed numerous commercial and advertising assignments. I photograph in outdoor settings and also have a studio in my home for both portrait and still-life commercial work. My fine art photographs have been exhibited in over 60 venues nation wide and a large group of my portraits entitled "People, Places and Things on US 89" recently completed a three year state-wide tour of galleries in Utah. Very early in my career I heard a quote that said, "...find something you love to do and you'll never have to work a day in your life." I love taking pictures and therefore going to places like China, Samoa, Cuba, Tonga, France or Italy to work on a book or some other assignment is not work at all. It is pure pleasure. I also learned that when you do what you love you'll go the extra mile to make it the best "work" ever.
