Introduction

Hi, I'm Charlene, otherwise known as The Traveling Pianist! I love teaching piano because it allows me to join my passion of music with my experience in teaching. I teach my students in their homes for their comfort and convenience. I also teach online for those farther from me or wanting this service. I usually use Whatsapp. I have extensive background in piano music; both at the University level and in private lessons. I have enjoyed teaching students of every age, from toddlers to great-grandparents. I would be happy individualize lessons with your interests and needs in mind. I love sharing the joy of making music with all ages. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a basic price for all lessons whether in house or online but add a traveling charge for the first lesson at a location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I give a free first piano lesson so we can get to know each other, find out previous experience, music preferences, and my policies. Then we can begin by setting a time, getting materials, and beginning lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken piano lessons from university professors and staff for over 10 years and can play many things from Bach, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, to religious and popular pieces. I have also taken organ lessons. I have a minor in music and have taught many music workshops.
