- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$25 for a 30-minute lesson. Will drive up to 30 minutes from Crofton to teach a lesson, applying the same hourly rate for driving. During the pandemic I have been teaching remotely on Zoom but I will come to students’ locations if unavoidable, keeping masked and social distancing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always welcome new students where they are, identifying their particular needs, adjusting to their best way of learning, with whatever giftedness or academic struggles they present and with whatever experience they have. I find out what they want from the lessons, and propose how we can get there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did the BA Music and Theology at Liverpool Hope University in 1981 and qualified as a teacher at the University of Chichester in 1991. I taught for 21 years in public and private universities, high schools, middle, elementary and Kindergarten. Until 2023 I was a church music director and maintained a studio of privately taught students for 42 years.
