First of all, the Thumbtack app only allowed me to choose three of five qualities I loved about Igor’s work: Work Quality, Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value, and Punctuality. If given the opportunity, I would have chosen all five. My experience with Thumbtack has been largely miss rather than hit with the contractors over the last several months. I’ve never had a better experience with a contractor than with Igor. For weeks, I’ve posted different projects to have pool safety cover anchors installed, and out of several contractors I’ve spoken with, they each promised overpriced rates, but as I was stuck, I accepted. Each time they promised to come out, but never showed up without a single phone call or text or message update in the Thumbtack app. They just disappeared. A few responded once every 24 hours to ask a minor question as a delay tactic, and I’d immediately reply to another 24 hours of silence. This happened every single time. Two weeks passed. I was running out of time and patience. So I posted another project TODAY for the SAME project, on SATURDAY at about 8:00 AM. Within seconds to minutes, Igor responded, not with the $1 trick, but with a flat quote price that matched my own suggestion. We spoke minutes later, and he was polite, honest about what his experience was, and confident and reassuring that he could complete the task. He set a time, and arrived at that time, texting me his arrival status along the way. He brought all the tools he needed, and more. And he went to work. No wasting time, focused, actively trying to make this project perfect with a sense of personal pride that comes from someone who lives by reputation not by the clock or by the price. I still haven’t heard from anyone today in the other projects but I’m curious how long it will take for anyone of them to respond who said they’d be over daily. Igor is talented, hard working, and friendly. He’s the kind of person hat calms you when you’re frustrated because you know he cares about doing a good job. He never even took a break to drink water or eat snacks that I offered him, or even to go to the restroom! The end result is that the installation was BETTER than I had hoped for because he went above and beyond. Afterwards, he told me some tips on what to look out for in the future, and even shrugged off some damage to his tools as just part of the job. I paid him more than we agreed on because I was so satirized. When was the last time you ever willingly paid more without someone asking or hinting for more? Never! But Igor deserved it. He accepted payment in whatever form I felt comfortable with, and I was happy to pay with whatever what his preference. I took his card after asking for it, and will be recommending him to everyone who ever needs a task completed. He’s also just become my lifetime first contact for everything else in the future. You saved me from missing an important deadline, and I will be forever grateful. Thank you, Igor. If you want something done honestly, professionally, and right: You won’t go wrong with Igor. Trust me.

My experience in hiring RenoVA Homecare was EXCEPTIONAL. My contractor was Igor. Igor was very professional and the quality of his work is outstanding. He worked totally independent for two weeks, which was our project timeframe. He met the timeframe even with additional renovations/repairs being discovered. I told him my budget and he made sure that I stuck to it. He was very budget conscious and knowledgeable about the supplies needed to do the project. My 32-year old townhouse looks amazingly new. I would definitely use RenoVA Homecare for future projects and would highly recommend the company to others.
