- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$30 for a one hour intro-lesson Monthly Tuition Rate (4 or more lessons a month): $30 for a 30 minute lesson. ($120/month) $45 for a 45 minute lesson. (180/month) $60 for a 60 minute lesson. ($240/month) $75 for a one hour “drop-in lesson” (any frequency less than 4 lessons a month, after the intro lesson).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In a first vocal lesson, I like to take the time to get to know the student, their goals, and where they feel like they are currently comfortable vocally. We will then take some time, through vocal-training warmups, to get on the same page with some common vocal terminology (breath support, registers, chest voice, belt, mix, head voice, tonal resonance, etc). Through this we will identify the student's vocal strengths and areas with room for improvement. When the formative assessment is complete, there will be time available to work on specific songs and pieces focused towards strengthening vocal functionality while offering a fun area of focus for each student! In addition to technical vocal study, students can have the opportunity to learn and grow as actors. With a Master of Fine Arts in Acting I feel strongly that a story with clear choices should drive any performance. Students can learn to utilize acting techniques such as imagery work, action "verbing", character analysis, etc. to prepare them for a performance and/or audition. We will work together to prepare clean, clear, confident performances/audition packages to help the student feel more at ease in front of an audience.

In addition to this formalized education, Maddie have spent years performing professionally for companies throughout Northern Utah, Central Florida, and Washington D.C. Performing experience includes roles such as Jo March (Little Women), Franca (The Light in the Piazza), Fosca (Passion), Hedy La Rue (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), Rosalee (Sleepy Hollow), and an invited guest appearance singing Glitter and be Gay with the Weber State Symphony in 2012. On top of performing and private lessons, I have enjoyed nearly a decade of work as a professional teaching artist with such companies as Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Peery's Egyptian Theatre, Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, and Interact Story Theatre working with students of all ages to develop their craft as young performers and story-tellers. I love nothing more than watching these students grow into professionally minded performers, using their skills to better the world around them.
