What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For admin projects and business consulting, I quote an hourly rate that begins at $28 per hour. At times it makes sense to put together and price a package of services, depending upon the client's needs. For copy and line editing service, I generally follow standard publishing industry rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It begins with a "get acquainted" call. From there, we mutually determine the client's specific needs, and a verbal scope of work is created based on my ability to provide. After a quote, the client decides if they want to hire me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my administrative training in high school years ago, followed by hands-on training on the job. In 2006, I took a course to become certified to work with authors, and later with professional speakers.
