I have known Gene as a DJ since his days back at Legends which I believe was back as early as the year 1999. He was a great DJ then and has done nothing but fine tune his skills as a DJ since. I have been to several events where Gene was the DJ from bar atmospheres, small private gatherings and a number of other social festivities. He was even the DJ at my sister's wedding reception. Any time I go to an event where Gene is the DJ I know it's going to be a blast and that he will keep everyone on the dance floor. He knows just what to say to get and keep everyone's attention and plays the perfect mix of music so that everyone's music tastes are indulged! If you want a DJ that brings a new level of professionalism as well as a GREAT time then Gene should be your first and ONLY choice! You can't go wrong with DJ Mean Gene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gene Griffin was the DJ for my daughter's Sweet 16 party, with 70 guests at a restaurant in Springfield. He did a fabulous job and keeping the party moving with music and games, and he kept the mood of the party fun and upbeat. My daughter was thrilled that he was able to play all of her requests, including lesser known songs from musicals and movies, along with the current popular party songs. When I was looking for a DJ for the party, the employees of the restaurant highly recommended Gene, and they said he had done such a great job at a party there that they had asked him to DJ at their employees' holiday party. I am so glad that I followed their advice, and I thank Gene for making my daughter's party such a success.

Amazing, wonderful, awesome! Gene is the best DJ. We had an perfect evening with 125 people for our 25th wedding Anniversary. This was a pretty casual outdoor BBQ/ Pool party. We partied until 3:00 AM to the perfect mixture of music. Very diverse group of people and everyone had a great time. Gene had music for everyone, he made this event unforgettable. I will be hiring Gene in the future for sure. I will now hire Gene for our much smaller gatherings also. I can't recommend him more highly. You will not be disappointed. Really, the best. Thank you so much Gene. Well done.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was asked to dj a party in my basement my senior year of high school and from then on I was hooked.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs that I do for clients by far is Weddings. I have been Djing weddingd since 1992 and have performed at well over 300 events to date and counting. I believe experience is what most brides are looking for and if you have enough experience to keep a bride at-ease then you are worth your weight in gold. I also do large and small corporate events whenever the occaision arises. School functions are becoming more the norm as well since my sons are now at the age to be attending more functions that have a need for Dj.
