The photography of your wedding truly deserves the careful attention of a professional. As we often say, "when the cake has been eaten, and the day is over, the photographs are what you have to remember your day by". Prospective clients oftent need to be educated about a what goes into the price of hiring an experienced professional. A talented photographer's fees cover not only the time spent photographing your event, but include many hours of pre-production and post-production work, for location scouting, gear cleaning, lighting planning, scheduling, travel, overnight stay (sometimes), editing, culling, processing, formatting, posting online, client communications (email, phone, snail-mail), album design, upload, review, and delivery. These hours add and up and contribute to the quality of the finished products you will receive from your photographer. Most of these factors are identical for both wedding, portrait, and commercial photographers, by the way.
