I contacted Lena for vocal lessons. I have been playing guitar for over 10 years but had no prior vocal training and wanted to begin singing with a group at my church. I noticed improvement only after a few lessons and after only a month or so of lessons I was singing publicly for the first time, something I never thought I would have the ability to do. Lena has a strong understanding of music theory and techniques. Her lessons were well organized and created foundations that she would build on throughout the weeks. She was extremely encouraging and showed great flexibility by tailoring lessons to my specific needs or areas I wanted to improve. I would recommend Lena to anyone looking to improve themselves instrumentally or vocally.

Im an absolute beginner with guitar playing and musical theory. I've been learning guitar playing with Lena for about 2 months and plus now.
Lena has been a wonderful instructor for me. Her teaching materials are very organized and systematic, which is essential for a beginner like me. Her patience and very encouraging words along the way helped me become more confident as I practiced from when I couldnt even play a cord to being able to play 10+ chords smoothly.
She also lets me choose a list of songs Id love to learn to 1) help me learn how to play my favorite songs; 2) practice the chords she teaches me. This makes my practices much more enjoyable as I love the songs Im practicing. Im also learning from her a bit about musical theory and song writing in the meantime.
In addition to the teaching part itself, shes also very flexible with scheduling. I was able to reschedule several times because some unexpected events came up.
With a very reasonable price, what else could you ask for from a guitar instructor?

Our daughters, ages 15 and 9, have been with Sky Music Instruction since November 2014. In less than six months with Lena, my husband and I have seen a huge improvement in their abilities to play the guitar. Lena is very patient, highly motivated, and is great at encouraging our daughters to learn at their own pace. Both our girls have had previous guitar lessons with numerous instructors, however; none of those instructors have impacted them as much as Lena has, and continues to do. We highly recommend anyone at whatever level of playing you are at, to give Sky Music Instruction a try. Lena is wonderful to work with, and makes playing the guitar FUN!

I have been taking my daughter for vocal lessons and I am impressed by the quality of Lenas work, her organized and professional lessons, her friendly manners, and supportive encouragements. My daughter has enjoyed these lessons and has been anxious for every upcoming lesson. Lena has not only practiced and taught her the signing skills but has been a great source of encouragement. She has given her weekly assignments appropriate for her age and skill set. These have helped my daughter improve significantly and her enthusiasm has grown since starting the vocal class with Sky Music. I strongly recommend Lena; she is a great music teacher.

Lena is amazing! She is a versatile musician who patiently, but persistently, works to get the best out of our daughter. We came to her initially for guitar lessons but quickly expanded to voice lessons also. She's easy to work with, and we've found her to be flexible in scheduling. We have recommended her to friends who have had a similiarly positive experience with her. We recommend her highly!
