AMC built a ipe deck and installed two brick patios in August 2013. The ipe deck project went very well and the deck is very attractive and well built. The patios have been very problematic. Polymeric sand was used and it was not properly applied, resulting in a haze forming on the brickwork. AMC used muriatic acid, twice, to remove the haze, but when the bricks were completely dry, the haze returned and it appeared that the brick face was degraded/mottled. AMC has not acknowledged this problem and thus far has not corrected it. In the end, I had another contractor clean and seal the brickwork, and asked AMC to share the cost with me. Thus far, they have declined.Aug 21, 2014Verified
