Already a local favorite amongst tourists and locals in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and the Outer Banks, the Sundawgs performed over 50 dates during their first summer tour together. Joey Wood has been playing guitar and entertaining audiences throughout Tidewater Virginia area and the Outer Banks of North Carolina since the early '90s. A seasoned singer-songwriter, Joey's originals have been well-received in Nashville, TN, and a number of his songs have been published. His first CD, Putting Yesterday Behind, was released in 2001 and was played on local radio stations. It is currently distributed. Joey's musical influences include Jackson Brown, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett and Bruce Springsteen. Joey plays a wide variety of music including everything from classic rock to country as well as his originals. Joey is well known for performances which highlight his engaging sense of humor and high energy coupled with a passion for great music. He believes in having a good time while performing and makes sure that every audience shares in that. Elle Browning has been playing keyboard and singing since age 7. A Virginia Beach native, Browning cut vocal demos for a local artist in the early '80s. Elle began performing at local clubs and parties in 2004 where her smooth, low-range vocals earned her the reputation as the neo-romantic piano girl in the Hampton Roads area. Some have referred to her as the lost Carpenter. Elle spent time in the Nashville area playing clubs such as the Bluebird Cafe and Douglas Corner before returning to Virginia Beach. Elle's range goes far beyond ballads; her repertoire covers everything from Janis Joplin to Alanis Morrissette, from slow ballads to rock anthems. An accomplished pianist, Browning also plays bass guitar and percussion. Book the Sundawgs now, and see what all the buzz is about. A CD is available upon request.
