I am a freelance makeup and special occasion hair artist based in Chesapeake, Va area but travel all over. I am originally from Alabama and have been doing makeup since high school. I had a beautiful baby girl in March of 2023. I have a Husband who i have been with for almost a decade. I decided to become certified in 2018 at The Academy of Makeup in Maryland. I am trained in not only glam makeup but airbrush and wedding. This is not a hobby it is a PASSION! If my client is happy with the end results, it empowers me. Face So Pure was great in the pre-set up phase. Asked tons of questions, knew exactly what I was looking for. Day of she set everything up, made sure I was ready on time. My makeup was exactly what I wanted based on a photo I sent her. We did not do any before work, and she had not seen my face in person until we met for the event. And she hit it out of the park. Very friendly and personal able, and mostly clean. You could tell she takes care of her equipment.

Whitney was exceptional!!! I appreciate her being punctual and communicating with me from the time I booked the session up until my appointment it was reassurance. She did an amazing job during the session we shared In a few laughs I felt like I'd known her for years. I am from Florida here in Virginia for an event. I had a fantastic experience with my MUA, Whitney, from Face So Pure. Whitney listened to me and captured the look I was going for. Whitney is FANTASTIC! I am a little late on this review but I knew I just had to mention all of her great qualities. Firstly, I contacted Whitney for hair and makeup for some premarital photos. On the day of the photos, it stormed so bad I was worried both her and the photographer would cancel. However, she still made the 45 minute trip out to see me. I sent her a photo of the hair and makeup I wanted and she matched it perfectly. I felt so beautiful and confident for my photos. My skin is very dry too and my makeup sometimes looks cakey. I looked airbrushed! We also talked the whole time about everything-time flew. Whitney is great at listening to your makeup and hair needs and producing perfect work. You will not be disappointed!
