Adrienne Brown is a fantastic trainer and instructor. She never cuts lessons or training sessions short but instead will continue to work with the horse or student until the desired result is achieved. She is calm, patient, and knowledgeable, she truly cares about the horse and student. She created an effective, efficient, and safe plan to get my horse trained and in shape. I can feel a significant and desirable difference in my horse after Adrienne has ridden her. She picks up on the horse and rider's weaknesses and really works on improving them.

Vala was a very timid 4 yr old going into training. I sent her for 30 days to be started under saddle. I expected to get a very green horse back. However to my suprise Adrienne kept her longer than the 30 days due to some weather related down time. She wanted to make sure Vala was ready and that we where satisfied with her progress.. We picked Vala up in April and she has been on several organized tra rides as well as a tril to the mountains. Thanks to a very patient trainer and gentle handling Vala will go through what ever u put in front of her...I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to send any horse to Adrienne..

Adrienne has done some round pen work with my 8 year old mare. She accomplished in 30 minutes what I tried to do in a whole week. Definitely recommend her for whatever your equine need are.

We specialize in retraining off-the-track thoroughbred racehorses and problem horses. Our OTTB and PH (problem horses) retraining program is designed to transition horses from the track to second careers. Additional services include starting young horses under saddle, advancing the training of dressage horses, and correcting ground manners and behavioral problems in difficult horses. Our holistic approach to training creates a light, confident, and balanced horse. We customize our training programs in order to meet the individualized needs of each horse and rider combination. Our training program at Dogwood Knoll Farm includes groundwork (work in-hand), lunging, and riding. Our under-saddle work always focuses on the lateral and longitudinal training exercises necessary to create a balanced, supple, and relaxed horse that seeks contact with the bit. We also offer training services such as bridling, saddling, free schooling, longing, long-lining, and work in-hand. Our focus on dressage can help your horse get started on the correct path for future work in any discipline.
