John came to install gfi outlets in my kitchen. He was very professional and offered a good rate. He even took time to explain what he was doing and why. The entire thing felt transparent and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone who needed electrical work done.

Last year we extremely happy to buy our first home. However as the year went on, we started noticing minor electrical issues (light flickering, socket issues) and began to worry about the quality of electrical work done on our home prior to purchase. We called John over to take a look and fix any issues. He came over and immediately fixed the issue. As new home owners, we greatly appreciated him walking us through how he diagnosed the problem and the proposed fix. Not only that, he checked other areas of our home to ensure that we did not have any issues hiding in other places. We highly recommend John for any of your electrical/handyman needs!

I had contracted with John a few years when I had a cafe. I had an electrical problem involving my fire suppression system and was quoted 3,000.00 to fix. John came in evaluated the system and isolated the problem in ten minutes. No parts required, just a simple rerouting of a single wire...total cost 60.00. Bottom line, he's honest, extremely competent, reliable and incredibly fair on pricing. In a different venue, I asked John to move two outside lighting fixtures used to illuminate our community entrances....this he did quickly for a nominal fee.....Dan, HOA President

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We usually like to give a free estimate by discussing or observing the project. That way we can give a fair and reasonable price based off of having a fully informed observation. This way neither party is surprised by any unforeseen costs.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was formally educated through the Virginia apprenticeship program for 4 years after which I obtained my journeyman's license. I went on to receive my Master Electrician license 2 years later. I worked as an electrician for Fairfax County for 5 years. In unrelated fields I have a BA in Political Science, and a certification in Web Database applications. All of these things have contributed to my abilities in running an electrical business.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

We're a family of electricians, my father, brother and I. I got started through learning with my father.
