I was looking for a level of professionalism that I was missing with my previous website companies. I love working with other small businesses, but find that - at least in the fields of website design and graphic design - they are not always great with project management, follow through and customer service. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve emailed a request for an update in my blog entry or in website content and not heard back from the designer for a week. Or I wrote an email asking for an update, only to receive no acknowledgement that the email was received and the changes scheduled to be made. I was looking for a web designer who was not only talented, but could deliver - and keep delivering what I needed month after month. It may have taken longer to complete than I had originally planned, but I never thought the project was not moving forward. I was content with the pace since I didn’t want to rush the process and be disappointed or unhappy with the final results. You brought ideas to the table that complemented what I wanted to do with my website and your design exceeded my expectations. I was willing to pay more for your continuing monthly service than I had paid previously because you laid out what I could expect from you and your co-workers. John was hired by my employer, whom I also used to do also do website hosting and design for in the past through my personal company. In the past I was doing the website as part of the marketing services I offered; yet the site that was active was not the one I developed for the office as a consultant; and I am not really sure why the formerly active site was started, but somehow it was on my personal service. So this was a little unusual of a situation. Basically I was dumping an old client, but because I am employed by them too, I also had to find someone to take over. I love Thumbtack, so it was the first place I went, and most of the people were not local, and my boss insisted that we pick someone local. John was local to us, and his portfolio was similar to what I wanted, and he was very responsive. My boss is a difficult person to work with, and has unrealistic demands and expectations. But John seemed to work well with him. I never once heard John complain about my boss, like most of the vendors we use do. I think the site only took maybe a week for John to prepare. We had a few issues on the client end that needed to be fixed, and John and his staff were able to get the changes and issues resolved ASAP. I have worked with many other people to get website changes done previously, and John’s people are amazingly quick! John was able to deal with my boss well, which is a challenge. John is well versed in SEO, and somehow was able to get the owner to realize many of the things I have tried for over a decade to explain. Until the site was finished my boss did not want to tell me how much he paid John. But when I saw the bill I was happy to see it was more than fair; frankly I was charging my boss WAY more back when I was doing the websites, and John’s is a million times better than what we had the last 5ish years that looked like one of the non-marketing people probably set up. I would highly recommend him, like I said he was great even though the client is not, and did great work for a fabulous price. The next time I have to haul over my personal business sites I will defiantly consider him.Jun 27, 2018
Johnny Flash Productions helped breathe new life into Immanuel’s online presence with their wonderful redesign of our website. Aside from their consummate professionalism, flexibility and keen attention to detail, they were an absolute pleasure to work with.
