FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in honest, transparent, and fair pricing. My goal is to provide high-quality work that respects both your home and your budget. Here are a few things to know about how I price my services: ✅ No Hidden Fees What I quote is what you pay. I provide clear, upfront estimates before any work begins so there are no surprises down the line. ✅ Fair Hourly and Flat Rates Depending on the job, I offer both hourly rates and flat-rate pricing. For smaller tasks or quick fixes, hourly billing makes sense. For larger projects, I’ll give you a flat rate based on labor, materials, and the scope of work. 💬 Free Consultations and Estimates Before starting any project, I offer a free consultation—whether in-person or over the phone—to understand your needs and provide a custom estimate. 💸 Discounts Available I offer occasional discounts for: Seniors Veterans Repeat clients Bundled services (book multiple tasks together for a better rate) Ask me if you qualify when we speak! 📅 Minimum Service Fee For smaller jobs, there may be a minimum service charge to cover travel and setup time. I’ll always let you know in advance if this applies. 🧾 Material Costs If your project requires specific materials, I’ll either include them in the quote or let you choose to supply your own. I can also pick up materials for you for a small fee. I’m committed to making sure you feel comfortable and confident in both the work and the price. If you ever have questions about a quote or invoice, I’ll always take the time to walk you through it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that great work starts with clear communication, mutual respect, and a solid plan. Here’s what you can expect when working with me for the first time: 1. Initial Contact & Conversation Everything starts with a quick conversation. You can reach out by phone, text, or email—whatever’s easiest for you. During this first chat, I’ll ask about the work you need done, your timeline, and any other important details. 2. Free Consultation or Site Visit For most jobs, I’ll offer a free consultation or come by for a quick site visit. This helps me understand the scope of the work, take measurements if needed, and identify any potential issues up front. For smaller jobs, a video call or photo-based assessment may be enough. 3. Detailed Estimate Based on what we discuss, I’ll provide a clear and honest estimate. This includes labor, materials (if I’m supplying them), and any applicable fees. I’ll also let you know if I expect the project to be hourly or flat-rate. 4. Scheduling the Work Once we agree on the details, I’ll schedule the job at a time that works best for you. I show up on time, with the tools and materials ready to go. If it’s a larger job, I’ll give you a clear timeline of what to expect. 5. Professional, Respectful Service While working in your home, I treat your space with care and respect. I keep the area clean, protect your belongings, and keep you updated as the job progresses. If anything unexpected comes up, I’ll always discuss options with you before making changes. 6. Final Walkthrough & Payment Once the job is complete, I’ll walk through everything with you to make sure you’re 100% satisfied. Only then do we finalize payment—either on the spot or by invoice, depending on what works best for you. 7. Follow-Up & Continued Support Even after the work is done, I’m here if you have questions, need follow-up help, or want to plan the next project. I build lasting relationships with my clients and am always just a message away. I believe in doing the job right, building trust, and leaving every customer happy. That’s how I’ve built my reputation—and it’s how I plan to keep earning yours.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a strong educational background in construction and engineering, which gives me a unique advantage in my work as a handyman. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, which means I don’t just know how to fix things—I understand how buildings are designed, how systems work together, and how to ensure lasting results. My academic training included: Structural analysis and design Materials science Construction planning and management Building codes and safety standards Beyond the classroom, I’ve had hands-on experience both in the field and on independent projects, working with tools, troubleshooting real-world problems, and constantly refining my skills. This combination of formal education and practical experience allows me to approach every job with confidence, accuracy, and a deeper level of insight than most. I also stay up to date with industry best practices, local building codes, and new tools and techniques, so I can offer clients the most efficient and reliable service possible.
