We contacted PARZ Designs to get an estimate on constructing a custom made kitchen table and bench. We needed an unusually shaped table to fit the breakfast nook of our new kitchen. Callie responded to our online inquiry very promptly (within a day or two) and came out to give us a free estimate. Callie understood our needs and "saw our vision." We were hoping for a quick turn around on the table and bench, so we could have them in time for Thanksgiving, although we thought it was a very long shot, because our first contact with PARZ was in the first week of November. Callie worked within our budget, pricing out a few different types of wood, at varying price points. She also said they could deliver the table and bench in time for Thanksgiving! Once we chose the type of wood, Callie offered us different stain colors and tried hard to complement the color of our kitchen cabinets and countertop. Randy built an absolutely beautiful table and a matching bench, which were exactly what we had envisioned and had shopped for in furniture stores for months (to no avail.) He delivered them (the day before Thanksgiving!) and assembled them right in our kitchen, making sure that they fit the space perfectly. He even adjusted the legs of the bench here in our kitchen, to ensure the bench would slide cleanly under the table when pushed all the way in. In short, PARZ Designs delivered the exact product we wanted, in record time, and with great customer service and attention to detail. We highly recommend this company to anyone requiring beautiful, custom wood work.

Callie, Randy, and Andy were great to work with! Callie is super personable and easy to coordinate everything with. Randy and Andy were great craftsmen who spent extra time and effort to make sure our project was completed to perfection. Our project was to install two sets of handrails in our old, historic home. Along the way we ran into a few snags - steel studs, light switches in the way, the wrong size ballasters. The guys took care of each obstacle professionally and timely. Once the railings were all said and done, we noticed that one of the posts needed a finishing touch. Randy came all the way out again just to do a finishing touch that took 3 minutes. The railings look amazing - very classy. We will definitely use these guys again for our under stair storage project. Thanks Parz Designs!

PARZ made a customized dining bench with storage for our dining room, as well as a pergola, raised planters, and benches for our back patio. PARZ was great to work with in the design phases, and the final project was even better than we'd initially envisioned!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each job is priced out individually. We try to work within our customers budget to the best of our abilities. We review the job based on the materials, and the labor any any special hardware this is what the price is based on. If the proposal does not fit within the budget for the homeowner we see if we can make changes that could lower the price and offer the options for this so as to keep the wanted design as close as possible while still getting it within the budget. This does not always work but we try working with the homeowner to get as close as possible.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We come out for a free estimate. Once there we discuss the project, nail down basic design concepts, materials, etc. and then we do a rough 3D sketch of the work and send it with a proposal for the work. We then work with the homeowner to make the project happen in terms of any adjustments needed to get it as close to/within budget as possible. Once agreed upon we get a deposit and start. We normally can install/deliver with 4-6 weeks of the deposit being made.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Our most common type of work is built-in units and stair projects. We have done a lot of built-ins around fireplaces as well as bedroom wall units and mudrooms. As well as everything on stairs from just installing a handrail to replacing all stair parts to give a whole new set of stairs and rails.
