From the BBB: Complaint Category: Failure to honor service estimate or agreementComplaint: Beginning April 2013 we paid for materials and labor in advance and none of the projects is completed; all efforts to reconcile have been ignored. We hired EBP Contracting (previous name of business) to perform several services for us: gutter cleaning, rescreen and repair porch, install a patio and walkway, install French drains, build a screen door with dog door, paint steps with anti-skid and install a vapor barrier. He began work on April 26, 2013. As of today, October 21, 2013, the only thing completed is the vapor barrier. We have tried to communicate with him and his only response is that he now works two jobs and will try to get the work done when he has a day off. We have since acquired a second opinion on the work done on the patio and walkway and were told that it was done incorrectly. The stones are loose, unlevel, and insecure. There is no way to put furniture on the patio because it is so unlevel. It is also dangerous to walk on it, in that it is very easy to twist an ankle. There is a huge pile of rocks in our driveway making it impossible to park our cars beside each other. There are tools, supplies, and parts scattered all over our yard. Our porch is partially screened, and does not have a door. We have paid for all of the materials and graciously paid him for all labor performed to date, as well as the bulk of the uncompleted labor, even though his terms were that labor would be payable upon completion. I have copies of the checks that have cleared. I have email documentation where he has acknowledged each job that was to be completed. I have copies of all of the emails and text messages that we have sent to him trying to rectify the situation. I feel like 7 months is enough time for him to have completed the job, especially given that he was initially going to have it completed by June and then by July. Complaint Resolution: Company failed to respond to BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues. - See more at: http://www.bbb.org/charlotte/business-reviews/remodeling-services/ebp-contracting-in-fishersville-va-308018/complaints#sthash.ODlVoiGY.dpuf
