FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In a previous job I was called upon to do a great deal of copyediting and proofreading, and then I had the opportunity to work together with my employer as an editor on his first published work. I found that I had a knack for it and took great satisfaction in supporting him in this way. I enjoyed watching his book become published and released, and seeing his message take life in the hearts of the people who read the book.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked mostly with non-fiction books, publications, and e-books; I have written one Bible Study myself.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think it is wise to send a small sample of your writing to a potential editor or ghost writer, giving an opportunity for an "audition" of his or services. This is a great way for writer and editor to get to know each other's style and work, in order to determine if it is a good "chemistry" fit, as well as to estimate the amount of time the project will take.
