FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I do are weddings, but I love to do large corporate events like Wounded Warriors Patriot Salute where we take our wounded veterans out on the Potomac River for a boat ride with their family and friends. When they return to Prince William Marine they are greeted with a BBQ dinner usually done by Tsunami BBQ- which my husband owns, and I bake the cupcakes, cookies and brownies for dessert. These veterans are given very nice gifts to take home, last year we raised enough money to get them a Kindle Fire and Cover. It's great day for them to get away from the hospital atmosphere for the day and enjoy what we take for granted. These kind of events are dear to my heart.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I don't like to boost myself, but I have to say that planning and coordinating my daugher's wedding 2 years ago I am particularly proud of. I created and made her invitations, made all the flower arrangements, coordinated her rehearsal dinner, created her cake, centerpieces and all her wedding favors. Months of prepartion went into this glorious day and you can see for yourself all the hardwork and creativity that went into her wedding through the video on my thumbtack site. If you want someone that can do it all that would be me: I am a very creative person and vision things that some people can't. I can help you create the dream you have been longing to play out since you were a little girl.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If your looking for a wedding coordinator just for the day of your wedding I am the one you want. I will take the time needed to sit down and go over all the aspects of your wedding so that when I show up on your BIG day all goes according to plan. I ask a lot of questions, WHY? because I have done this before and you haven't. I have seen all the phopahs that occur, what would you do if you showed up at the church and your pianist wasn't there, do you hold your guests till you find them? What do you do if the rental company shorts you linens for your tables, but you don't find out until an hour before the reception starts. A Coordinator makes sure all these little things don't happen, and behind the scenes so you don't worry about them.
