Wills and Estate Planning

Working through the estate planning process with Van Welton was an absolute joy. His expertise and experience speak for themselves, but what sets Van apart is his compassion, honesty, responsiveness, and obvious desire to serve his clients with excellence. Not only would I highly recommend him to my family and friends.....I already have...my mother will be using his services to update her will after the passing of her husband. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with a lawyer who shares my values of honoring God in all aspects of our lives...especially in our professions.

Wills and Estate Planning

Creating Wills and Estate Planning takes a lot of effort and thought. Van could not have been better at following up and dragging us over the finish line. He was willing to call and meet with us past 8pm to meet our schedules. He deserves more than 5 stars. Thanks again Van!

Wills and Estate Planning

Mr. Welton did a great job for us during Spring 2020. He was very responsive, knowledgeable, and thorough. The price for all the estate documentation was quite reasonable as well. Overall we were very satisfied with our experience and are glad to have our affairs in order.

Legal Document Preparation

Mr. Welton has provided Exceptional quality in his evaluation of my needs, the quality of work performed, and rapid timeliness in handling my request for legal document preparation. I would be very happy to hire him again! By far, the first attorney who helped me to understand the law. I feel thankful that he responded professionally and with a positive attitude. I look forward to requesting his services again in the future!

Family Law Attorney

Mr. Welton provided a very professional and friendly experience. He understood our legal issue and identified the best way forward. He worked with us closely to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently, even during this time of dealing with COVID 19. We couldn't be happier with his services, and plan to use him for any legal matters we may need help with in the future. We also plan to refer him to friends and family.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My clients will find that my pricing is generally lower than what they will find with other firms. As a virtual attorney, I am able to remove many of the costs normally associated with a "bricks and mortal" firm.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet with my clients to discuss their needs. As a virtual attorney (an attorney that works mostly via the internet), I have the freedom to meet with the client at a location of their preference. Usually, I meet my clients in their homes, the hospital or a community location, like a coffee house. Once I understand their needs, I will draft documents for review. I encourage my clients to review and make any suggestions. They may ask any question. My goal is to produce a document that they fully understand and accept. When all reviews have concluded, we will schedule a "signing party" with the client. The client should plan on having two witnesses, 18 years or older, who are not related to the client. The execution process takes about 30 minutes.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Licensed in Virgina as an attorney.
