As a person that's dealing with arthritis..I would hire this company 10x over.. they was very professional and on time. You can tell they are passionate about giving good customer service. There was no hidden fees like you get with other moving companies. They got a lot of work done in the time allotted

George and his son Julian were both wonderful. They did a phenomenal job with moving my items and their communication was great while conducting the job. However, the reason that I am giving 2 stars is for a couple of reasons. When I hired Safe Journey Transportation, I explained to George the services that I will be needing. I was moving within the same city, about 15 minutes apart. I was moving from a one story 1000 sq home to a 2000+ sq two story home. This was communicated to the George when we had our initial conversation. He did not ask about the size of furniture or the amount bedrooms/items. He told me that his going rate is $130. I agreed to that with no issues. Come moving day, George and his son showed up to help me with the move. It was quickly determined that he underestimated the move. The truck that he arrived in was too small to make one trip, in addition, he stated that he did not realize how much furniture I had. He admitted at that moment that he made a mistake and he should have come and assess the items beforehand. They tossed around the idea of renting a larger truck through U-Haul but ultimately decided that that would be too costly. We continued with the move. The total move took 9 hours and they had to make two trips in total. I ended paying $1200. I have never paid more than $700 for a move within the same city before with paying a similar hourly rate. I have no issues paying for someone’s hard work. They did work hard and handled my items with care. However, I feel like that due to George’s poor planning, I was overcharged. Had he assessed the job properly up front, the job should not have taken more than 6 hours. I did have conversation with George after the fact and shared my concerns. He was apologetic, and admitted that it was his mistake, however, did not offer to refund for me for the additional time it took or discount the move due to HIS POOR PLANNING. I should not have been charged for the second trip. Unfortunately, I’ve learned an experience lesson with this company and sadly will not use them again in the future.
