Introduction: The owner of Rocky Springs is also the head instructor and founder of the BALANCED AWARENESS HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM, which is a trademarked teaching method. This is the only location which will teach total horsemanship for all levels and disciplines of riding. We have very safe and well schooled horses as well as a safe environment to learn in. We have a many year record of Zero accidents and no injuries which testifies to our safety detail. We teach how to learn and be a balanced rider as well as understand the horse. Come and visit our peaceful and happy farm and you will then understand the difference in our school.
Working with students of all ages and levels makes us happy as we see the development and growth as we share our experience.

Tom and Claudia Swisher own and manage Rocky Springs Ranch, LLC in Gore, VA. The ranch is a hub for local horse activities and services. They offer expert riding instruction; Claudia has a wonderful way of explaining concepts to her students, young and old. Their horse boarding facility is safe for both horse and rider, with excellent personalized care. Tack repairs are expert and affordable. Claudia also offers consultations on saddle fitting and horse purchases.
I can't speak highly enough of their expertise and helpfulness. Through the years they have worked to grow the horse community here in Frederick County, VA and just this past year have opened a rescue for horses in need of re-training or just a brush-up, the Save a Horse Program at their farm.
