- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Currently i am perusing a Masters degree in Nutrition at George Mason University. I also work for Vega a plant based Nutrition Company. I am a member of a wellness club in Loudoun County, a member of a Nutrition and Dietician group on Linkedin, and I am constantly reading nutrition articles and am an avid advocate of fitness.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My whole life has been around sports and food. I have played competitive soccer and basketball growing up and throughout high school. Exercise makes me happy and I love the atmosphere that is brought about from a team environment. Cooking is my other passion, I love cooking for big events and seeing how something I have created can make people happy. After an injury that put me out of my Culinary job for awhile, it hit me that I need to combine my passions. That was one of the first things that got me interested in the Nutrition field.
