Do better work. This is what happened to me.
I had my rear brake pads replaced because the old ones were grinding. I also purchased rotors just in case they needed to be replaced too. The tech said that the rotors on my truck were fine and didn't need replacement.The technician came by earlier than the expected tim which I thought was a good sign. I gave him the parts and he said that it wouldn't take long at all (famous last words). After a few hours, he proclaimed that the work was done and that I needed to get some Dot 4 brake fluid and top off the master cylinder. Once I paid him and he left, I hopped in my truck and headed to Advanced Auto which is about 4 or 5 blocks away. As I'm heading down my street, I suddenly realized that I didn't have any brakes at all. I was pumping the pedal as I rolled through a stop sign at the end of the block, barely avoiding getting hit by an SUV. I coasted down the street and engaged the emergency brake. I parked the truck there and walked to Advanced Auto and purchased the recommended brake fluid. I topped off the master cylinder and I got back in my truck and coasted to my driveway, afraid to even step on the accelerator. Topping off the reservoir did nothing to fix the problem. I texted the technician and informed him that I had no brakes and hat he needed to return to fix the problem. I got no reponse until I texted him again to let him know that I placed a stop- payment on the check that I gave him. ($30 charge by my credit union). He came back out and asked me if I would help him "bleed the brakes." I pumped the brakes while he did what he did in the rear. Once we were done, he told me that he would have to charge me a $16 gas fee just for him to come back over there. I told him that no way would I pay that because he left my vehicle in an undrivable state. He appeared to get upset by that. I wrote him another check and he left, visibly upset. Now, my brakes are still grinding or rubbing. I have no plans to hire this company again.
