Why did I choose Herbst Marketing to create my website? Yvonne has such a sweet spirit about her that the moment I met her, I felt like I have known her for years. I could tell right away that I was going to choose her out of all the recommendations that I had gotten to do my website. The moment I started telling her what I had wanted it was like she read my mind on exactly what I was wanting in a website. It just fell into place, it did not take long at all as the previous provider I had to build the site. Now my website pops and is fun to brows through. What do I like best about my website? I like every bit of it, but I would have to say the maple leaves background. They have a special meaning for me. They are in honor, and in memory of my Daddy. He loved red maple trees. He had always been there for me in my venture of owning my own business. When I look at my website now it always reminds me how far I have come, and how blessed I have been to have had such a great man behind me then and still do in my heart. I contacted Yvonne Herbst after being frustrated with people who did not deliver what they promised. I was getting nowhere marketing a book I published as well as my services as a professional storyteller. One call was all it took. Yvonne went to work immediately designing a program that got me results! I was especially impressed because we live in different states so our relationship was "long distance." Contacts were made through phone calls and email. Yvonne is very creative in ways to generate business through a website. I needed a lot of coaching because I am not good with computer language. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on the scope and complexity of the site. A basic 5-page site with minimal customization to an existing template can generally be delivered within a week or less for a base price price of $500-$1,000. More complex websites generally run around $150-$200 per page (for more than 5 pages / navigation menu links.) Just as homes and cars can vary widely in price depending on their location, size, and features, so too do website services vary depending on the extent of graphic design, copywriting, and local search engine optimization desired for the individual project. Monthly website hosting and wordpress maintenance is $50 per month once the website is launched and includes up to one hour of edits / changes per month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by clarifying your vision and goals for your website and determining what (if any assets) you can provide as a starting point (logo, photos, website copy, etc.) Once we are clear about the desired scope of work, we determine if we are able to deliver what you want within your desired time frame and budget. Once a client hires us, we develop an initial site design based on the stated vision and goals for the client's approval and work closely with the client to make requested changes until the client is satisfied.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.S. Journalism - University of Maryland (I utilize my wordsmithing capabilities on clients' behalf when assisting with web copywriting.) I learned wordpress and website design from Don Campbell, a recognized local search engine optimization expert, owner of Expand2Web.com and co-developer of the GetFiveStars online review software. I used what I learned from Don Campbell to develop my own lead-generating small business website for a yoga studio that I owned and managed from 2000-2006.
