Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We have been in business since 1985. We believe your property should be treated with the utmost respect and care to provide security, peace of mind, and of course, beauty. We have master gardeners from four counties and two of the three regions of the nation. Our company is fully insured, licensed and certified and believe no person should enter your property without those credentials. Among our certifications are the chemical, both industrial and organic, which many do not carry, and the nurserymen, which almost no one has. We handle the following: * Plants Plants are our specialty. From 5-inch caliber trees to ground covers, we supply them all. We are experienced in plant material. We do not hire inexperienced people from nurseries and colleges to "help us out" with plant selection and replacement. * Plant Designs We will come to your property, walk around with you, and answer any questions you may have. Everything will be put on paper at that time, within minutes. We can leave rough designs on-site or send more detailed ones within a few days. * Plant Analysis We cannot count how many times we have been out to a property and a client has asked to identify a plant or address a problem that no one else has been able to do. Plant identification, conditions, and diseases are no problem for us. * Plant Installation Our license plates have the planters seal on it, so if you see this on a vehicle, you can trust in that. We keep pallets of the best soil conditioner at the largest retail and wholesale nurseries in the area. This mixture should be used with every job but, unfortunately, many times left out by others because of expense, inexperience or laziness. We offer it free! We provide the following additional services: * Plant Shopping There are different ways to choose the correct plant material. We shop for you! We handpick plants to assure they are the newest and most attractive available. We do not have the nursery staff or others do the choosing. That is one reason why you should not use a landscaper who has a nursery or a nursery who landscapes. We will also purchase straight from the grower and if needed, order plants and plant material. * Transplanting We love to transplant because we hate to waste plants. Whenever you transplant, you should always use root stimulator. This is a must but seldom used. We recently moved 12 large crape myrtles which were planted by another landscaper too close to a driveway and house foundation. *Real Estate We have a great relationship with realtors, individual home and business owners, and renters. The first thing that is seen by a potential buyer of a residential or commercial listing is the landscape. From removing a leaning tree or dying shrubs to cleaning and mulching, real estate agents, independent sellers, landlords and business owners can call on us. * Trimming An experienced landscaper should know that there are certain times of the year to cut and trim certain types of plants and trees. We make sure of this. * Cleaning/Clearing We like to clean out overgrown and troubled areas. The result always ends in a new look for your landscape. * Lawn Repair We do not aerate. We believe that is a waste of time when compared to dethatching. When you dethatch, you work more of a damaged area for increased coverage. We use compost or soil conditioner instead of topsoil to add to the existing areas. We use the highest grade seed which is always the newest in hybrids for long-lasting grass. Many use the regular mixtures which were good 20 years ago. * Lawn Sculpting We specialize in cutting out different shapes for plant beds. Every property requires something unique. We go down property lines to separate lots, around electrical boxes, down foundations and driveways, and around patios, decks and tree lines. * Drainage Many times a yard or property needs to have water flushed out of areas where it gathers and sets. We connect gutters, add French drains, dry rock beds, and heavily mulched areas to solve this problem. * Mulching We provide all types, colors and textures of mulch. We always have our mulch delivered because of the increasing usage by some landscapers of raw mulch. This mulch is taken from landfills, and excavating sites may contain foreign materials or bug larvae which is detrimental to a home or business. This mulch is usually not filtered or treated. * Maintenance We offer seasonal or annual plans for cleaning, cutting, trimming, mulching and plant management. * Insurance Claims We are quick on to any claim an insurer or claimant may have. Any damage to a property caused by storm, auto, or whatever is covered and can be appraised within hours. * Volunteer Work We volunteer ourselves for projects for schools, churches and gardens in and around Richmond. We donate plants and services for special causes because we like to give back to the community. We recently worked with Lowes to landscape a new gym for an area elementary school. * New Construction We landscape new homes and businesses. We try to consult with the owners to assure they get plant materials and hardscapes that appeal to them, not just the landscaper or builder. * Japanese Gardens Our company started in the business by doing these as the owner trained for a full year in the country’s largest garden. City To Suburbs Landscaping installs water features, bonsai areas, dry creek beds, pagodas, bamboo, fencing and more. * Tree Work Areas which have dead wood, overgrown limbs, or are heavily populated are always a problem. Clearing leaning, split, dying or poorly shaped trees always opens up an area for a clean, more park-like setting. We carry extra insurance for this type of work as it is risky and dangerous.
