There has been nothing but rave reviews from the members in attendance about Jon James' performance during our New Year's Eve party. A number of members questioned the decision to bring in a DJ instead of a band prior to the event, but all were quickly won over by Jon's personality, understanding of the audience, and non-stop performance throughout the event. During our monthly meeting on Jan 12th, comments such as "Best New Year's Eve party we've ever had", "I hope that DJ is available next year" and "We sure got our moneys worth; the DJ was awesome!" Thanks, Jon, you sure made me look smart for choosing Double J Entertainment for our party. I hope that you will be available for other future events at American Legion Post 290! Sam is a great voice instructor. He is experienced in both classical styles and traditional and contemporary R&B/Jazz styles and has performed with numerous popular acts such as Tony Bennett and Aretha Franklin and was a successful contestant on MTV's Making the Band reality show. As an instructor, he stresses the fundamentals in his lessons and helps students to develop a solid foundation upon which they can build performance techniques. He teaches students artistry as well as technique. In addition, he is often encouraging and energetic in his lessons and is very friendly. For students of pop/R&B/jazz standard singing, he uses Michael Buble as models for students and likes developing a round, solid sound rather than the strained vocals seen in most of today's pop music. This helps students with damaged voices to improve vocal production technique and find ways to repair their voices.

Don knows his stuff, he's easy to get along with and overall a really nice guy. He has an impressive repertoire of musical skills and a lifetime of experience in music to draw from. As far as instruments he can play a little bit of everything, he can basically teach you any instrument you'd find in a regular rock band, folk, country, pop, blues etc. He's probably most proficient on the guitar and piano but he also knows quite a lot about vocals. If you struggle with theory he does a great job demystifying some of the fundamentals of music theory that are useful to beginners. Whether you're an absolute beginner or long time musician Don will be able to help you out. Highly recommend.

We hired the musical services of Peter and he presented an excellent band for our wedding reception. He was very helpful and played a wide variety of songs. The band had plenty of onstage energy and were really nice performers. Highly recommended! They will keep the dancefloor packed all night long!

We had a great time when you were at Dogfish. We loved it! Funny but my friend Arlene tried to dance to "Dillon" (her quote!). I hope we get to go back there on the 11th. It was a great trip down memory lane. You guys rock! Sharon
