Introduction: Hailing from St. Croix (US Virgin Islands), Millanine started his DJ’ing career in the backyard studio of the well known sound system Tek9 Movements (VI). His passion for music began from the tender age of 14. He began as an apprentice, learning the ins and outs of the music business and occasionally being present during live recording sessions with various local artists. Millanine specializes in Reggae/ Dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop/ Rap, R&B and Soul, Afrobeats, Top 40 and much more. He has been featured at the Park at 14th (DC), Club Love (DC), Club 54 (VI), Rooftops (VI) and Frontline (VI) just to name a few. His passion and versatility is what makes him stand out the most. DJ Millanine answered our call today when we were in an emergency for an elementary school event. He not only responded within minutes of getting my request, but he built a set that covered old and new school in a matter of hours! He engaged with the kids in a way that made them feel seen, special and full of energy! He is a joy to work with and easy to communicate/coordinate! You can tell this is his craft! He’s passionate and full of so many additional gifts that come out as he emcee’s the space. He had the whole school rocking! I will def hire him for every event in the future! What a talent and wonderful soul! Hire him, he’s worth it!

DJ Millanine came through when I needed a last minute DJ. Played songs from my personal requests submitted before event as well as his own creative flow. He was a very polite gentleman, and was available during COVID for a small gathering. I would use him again and recommend him as well.
