I went to Haverty's to purchase furniture for our new home. She was simply amazing. She took her time and gave me her undivided attention. Ms Johnstone went over and above her duties as a sales person. Because of her design style she kept me focused on style and colors.We started with the sofa and built around that. She made me think outside the box. She came to my home and decided what colors needed to go in all the rooms and suggested the perfect painter to do the work. I wanted a little more pop on my headboard. She gave me ideas for the family room, kitchen, sunroom,master bedroom and bath. Ms Johnstone came personally to paint the nailheads on my bed which gave it a a lot of pop She actually did it herself,my husband and family were amazed with her work. In fact, my house looks like it could be in any magazine. She always came when she said she would. If I would come to the store she would always make time for me. Her quality of work is impeccable not because she was an employee but because she loves what she does. I was impressed totally.Nothing went wrong and she made me a happy homeowner.

Abi did a phenomenal job decorating our house on an extremely tight budget and understanding what my quirky taste was (even when I wasn't able to vocalize it). It looks like a completely different house and now I'm proud to show it off instead of embarrassed when people come over. She was so deliberate about using things that were important to us even when they made her job a lot harder, and pulled it off beautifully! Have recommended her to many friends and will continue to do so. A++++++

Abi is very talented! Her maturity, professionalism and design expertise impressed me from the beginning. She has helped design rooms and spaces in our new home, spaces that felt overwhelming for me to conquer alone. Rugs, furniture, accessories, paint suggestions and window treatments are just some of the areas where her "eye" really made a difference. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to keep it as simple as possible, but sometimes shopping for furniture or other needed items for my client can get pricey since we don't know how long it will take to find said items. However, my goal is to keep my portion of their budget under 15% of the overall budget, similar to the tipping policy for servers at a restaurant.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
During my first year in art school I fell in love with 3D sculpture and architecture, as well as color and pattern. I decided I wanted to help people create the space of their dreams so that they have a place to call home and escape from the stresses of life. I also see a lot of designers that try to impose "rules" and their style on their clients and want to offer a design service that helps the client create a space unique to them while maintaining harmony and flow.
