He seemed nervous his tricks was lame. You could see the tricks he was doing. And they was text book YouTube tricks. He also said some inappropriate things to one of the females at the party. I was embarrassed I really wanted my money back. The biggest trick in his performance was taking my money and leaving us with only a 20 minuet show. He did more talking about his resume than performing. I really do want my money back I was really upset as well as my wife and it was her birthday party. Never again will I book him or use thumbtackSep 22, 2018Verified
Mr. Lessner's performance was very good. He entertained a group of cub scouts, siblings, and adults for 45 minutes. The show had mixed reviews, but over it was very well received. Some of the younger kids had difficulty with the pace and content, but the older kids really enjoyed the show.Mar 19, 2018Verified
Thank you for a great show! Our residents enjoyed it tremendously. We hope to have you perform in the future.Sep 18, 2017
Mr. Lessner did a fabulous job with our group of middle schoolers and special needs students. He was unflappable during his time on stage, even when some students were off-task in the audience. Our kids were amazed by his tricks and talked about them all afternoon.Jun 11, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For small parties that are rather near to where I live I generally charge $150. Walk around magic is typically $150 for the first hour followed by $100 for each hour there after. For smaller parties that are 100 miles from home I suggest $300. Magic for a larger audience and having 200 miles of travel can be $400 or more depending on whether I must spend the night.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always want to talk to the new customer by telephone, identify important parameters and restrains for the show and verify that certain routines are appropriate, and identify special requests. For a birthday party, with the client's permission, I "manifest the presence of a friendly Ghost" who does magic and wishes the birthday person (child or adult) a happy birthday. Some folks do not want this fantasy so I do something else. For younger kids I do the "Miser's Dream" but instead of find money behind their ears, I find Oreo cookies, fill a big bag and pour it into a bowl for the audience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a magician for over twenty years while I have also completed a career as a Reach Scientist in Public Health for New York. I have PhD in Mathematics, MA in Biostatistics, and an MpH specializing in Epidemiology, I have taught at the college level for well in excess of twenty years. I have good speaking and organization skills.
