Introduction: All events are unique. I am often asked "What kind of music do you play at a wedding?". My answer is that each wedding is unique. What is enjoyed by a bride and groom and their guests at one wedding can be very different from what is enjoyed at the next wedding. I offer a personal consultation with every client. Having the opportunity of meeting with them and learning a little bit about them and their event will tell me a lot about what will make their event successful. Many DJ companies will send you a questionnaire. I prefer the old-fashioned, face-to-face meeting and having the opportunity of a discussion rather than some black and white answers on a piece of paper.

Susanne emcee'd two office functions for us. Professional in every way. She was extremely easy to work with and was very flexible to our needs. When we need a DJ - we call no one else. She is a very thorough wedding planner but not marketed that way. Her cofidence and enthusiasm eased any fear of a dull event.

Susanne has a great selection of all types of music. She can custom your needs for the kind of party or event you have planned. Susanne has been our DJ for 3 years and we will continue to call her. Her prices are reasonable and she is very dependable.

Susanne did a wedding reception for our daughter and will be doing a high school class reunion this month. I've know her and have seen her work for at least 15 years. She cares about what you want, thinks of every detail and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. We could not have been more pleased.

Suzanne and Kevin are the best-She provided a built selection of CD Songs by the artists I selected. This was our 50th Wedding Anniversary. She is very good and flexable and she works with you on what you want- (Not Just A canned program). Very professional. On site DJ will help you modify the presentation (End Early-or Delete CDs) you previously selected, I cannot say enough about her company. The services are very reasonably priced-If you try to get a cheap operation you can only expect poor service-She will compete with any other DJ services for the services she provides. Ray Briggs

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love it when I tell people that whenever I am listening to the radio I am doing my "homework". I feel it is necessary to stay knowledgeable about all styles of music. More and more often there is actual lyric research that is necessary as well. Many songs are deemed "inappropriate" for certain age groups and I feel as though it is the DJ who should be familiar with the song lyics in order to know the songs' appropriateness at a specifc event and for a specific audience. In addition, a DJ company should always be familiar with the most recent technological advancements. In the 20 years that I have worked as a DJ, I have encountered many different advancements (i.e. music format change from tape to CD to digital).
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Even though today's "hip-hop/rap" music style is not for everyone, I am proud of the fact that DJ Connection was selected to provide DJ services for a local Flo Rida party. And, yes, Flo Rida was at the event himself! The reason why I am proud of this event is because "you can't judge a book by its cover" and we weren't. DJ Connection provides all types of music...not just one particular style. We have played at many different events that offer mostly "hip-hop/rap" music, yet have also played at retirement centers and daycare centers with quite a different selection of songs. We offer a HUGE variety of music and can entertain at a variety of events as evidenced by this story.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Interview different companies. Decide what specific services you need. Then choose the company that provides those services and, most of all, makes you feel comfortable!
