Janet is a miracle worker. She has helped me (in my home) for 18 months with a pit bull (rescue) that was globally terrified. This was a dog that didn't leave the dressing room for a year. She was able to accomplish things with the dog that I wouldn't have thought possible. (Ex. Getting the dog to walk calmly into the house instead of crashing into the door in her frenzy to get in). Helping me teach my dog to relieve herself outside. She also was able to train dog #2 (who I got to help with the pit bull), to go in a crate - which she had never before used - in just a few minutes. I would give her the highest possible rating....beyond excellent. She is truly outstanding. She is soooo knowledgeable - about why dogs do what they do, what it means, and how to handle it. Yes - she went way above and beyond. Ex: spending 45 minutes on the phone with me one night when I was trying to decide whether or not to keep the dog. Enlisting the help of a vet behavior specialist in Texas in determining what meds would help (which one, dosage, etc.) She was always on time, and her work was of the highest quality. Not a thing went wrong. She could not possibly do better.

Janet worked with me and with my reactive standard poodle. The sessions helped us both to learn how to handle stressful situations more successfully. Weve also enjoyed taking agility, nose work and rally classes with her. I highly recommend Janet as a trainer.

Encouragement to be constant, don't be afraid to use tools(easy walk)eventually might not have to, offered suggestions while watching us work, calm positive attitude, was on time, I have to be patient and watch my dog. Can't say enough good about her

I've taken several classes with Janet and have done a number of private sessions with her. She has helped me learn to work with my very exuberant German shepherd and coached us through successfully introducing a second dog into our household. She is great to work with, very creative, and really understands dogs. Have recommended her to several friends

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, continuing education is important to me and required for many of my certifications. I attend conferences, read new research and books, and present seminars.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved animals of all kinds. Helping you to enjoy the pet you have always wanted is very rewarding!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I help many clients who have trouble walking their dogs in public, or want their dogs to behave better when guests visit their home. I also work with families to integrate new puppies into their families, avoiding problem behaviors and creating good manners. I also work with cats - one of the most popular pets in the US!
