I'm a professional female painter for well over 10 years. I took on my business as an independent contractor after working for a few big companies throughout the Hampton Roads area. With my service each and every customer I deal with gets a great deal offer as I offer free estimates, free future touch ups on all my jobs as well as a great low price of .85 a square foot without customers supplying materials and Only 1.25 with materials. This winter I am running a special. Please mention this when contacting me personally and I will let you know. I am easy to work with when it comes to budgeting as well. We are two professional painters with quite a reputation. We do interior/exterior painting, wallpaper removal, popcorn ceiling removals, handyman services, power washing, and concrete sealant and exterior deck staining as well. all commercial properties and residential are welcome as we do custom work. We will work with you on any prices. our motives is to keep our customers satisfied without spending too much. What makes our job a success and why I enjoy it so much is being able to interact with my clients, seeing the satisfaction on their faces, and the simple fact that painting has become more than just a 9-5 job for us. Its art in itself and definitely a passion.

Amazing work. She came over on the weekend due to my schedule not working well during the week. She was very flexible with her hours and at a very reasonable price. The rooms look amazing. Even when I told her our plans going forward and that the line between the colors was going to be covered she insisted that it was perfect! Again, absolutely amazing. I will be hiring her again!

Malay started out as a professional, but I should have been nervous after her quote increased almost 50% after making a home visit. After that, it only went downhill. On a daily basis there was paint on my carpet and all of my personal items, from refrigerators to couches and chairs, expensive furniture and stained glass. Despite repeatedly requesting that she and her unsupervised workers cover my household goods while the painting took place, they would rarely do so. I would come home from work each day to find a new mess in a new room. By the last week of the project (it was supposed to take 7 days and took 12 days) each room was in a state of disarray and not one room had been done correctly nor completed before another room was started. We were constantly finding new areas that had been overlooked and were pressured to approve the work before we had had time to really look it over. I've still got lots of retouching and repainting to do. Never again! Next time I'll hire a painter who comes with personal recommendations - not off of Thumbtack. She and her workers were never on time and occasionally showed up barely giving a few minutes notice on a day when we were home from work and sleeping a little late (after 8 am). What a waste of time and money! One of her workers actually got into an argument with me about why he thought paint on my stainless steel refrigerator and laminate floor was totally expected and acceptable in a painting project. In the end, she tried to hold over my head the painting of my kitchen cabinets which were included in the project from the outset. She denied having any knowledge of the cabinets (even though the ad and all correspondence clearly indicated they were to be painted) and to this date still did not paint the edges of the cabinet doors. In the end I paid her the 50% increased price and took my horse key back just so I could be finished with her and her crew and regain a semblance of normalcy in my life. Each room was still in disarray, but in the end the experience turned out to be invaluable, as I learned an important life lesson -- that people's true colors do come out in stressful times. That being said, I prefer to know up front who people are underneath the social pretenses. I definitely would not suggest taking on a painting project with this painter unless you were prepared for TOTAL CHAOS for much longer than is necessary.
