Always ask all the important questions most moving companies like to keep hidden from their customers until the day of the move. Insurance info? Travel info? Hourly or flat rate? Min rate? "Can you explain to me where these extra charges come from?" "Sure, you had 10 steps, which are $.50 per step, 15% fuel charge, 1-hour travel time, and the footage to your house was more than 50 feet." Why don't moving companies ever tell you this beforehand? That's why they call them "hidden charges." At Five Stars Moving, we charge you from the time we pull up to your driveway, until the final item is moved. We believe in being up front and honest with each individual customer. If you are 75 miles from where our company is located, 1 hour is added to the bill; and if you are moving long distance, there is a fuel charge.
