Lorna is very passionate about teaching, and very intuitive in regards to how I best learn. She tailors the lessons to meet my specific needs, and most importantly she makes learning fun! Her lessons are always diverse, interesting and infused with culture. Her patience and positive energy inspire me to do the work that is necessary to learn a new language. I have been studying with Lorna for many years now. She has taught me all the way from the greeting words to having fluent conversations with people who speak Spanish all around the world. I have successfully completed five high school Spanish courses and one college level course, in which she really helped boost my confidence in speaking, reading, and writing. Lorna has been a true Godsend! I'm transitioning into a job where I'll be exclusively dealing with Spanish-speaking clients so I needed to find a teacher who was gifted enough to advance both my Spanish speaking and Spanish writing skills to a professional level. With the pandemic, however, I was concerned about being able to find someone that I could work with virtually, on an almost daily basis. Thankfully, Lorna has been working with both in-person and virtual students (video by Skype is my preference) for over a decade so she is equally adept at supporting both styles of learning. I am currently meeting with Lorna four times a week - the urgency of my new job demands this pace - and I look forward to working with her for quite a long time to come. I simply cannot recommend Lorna highly enough - she is wonderful! Five Stars Plus :-)
