Writer, Advocacy Communications

Introduction: Writer/Editor – As a communicator using the written word throughout my career, I write and edit for diverse purposes: marketing and promotional, issue-driven, news-driven and informational. This includes news stories, opinion pieces and advocacy communications. I write content for websites and for print and I’m adept at using social and traditional media. I develop strategic copy for causes and campaigns and write and edit non-technical proposals for individual clients. I'm a published writer in print and online. I've edited fiction as well as an array on non-fiction pieces from medical to national security topics. Communications Strategist – I create public affairs and cause-related strategic campaigns to affect change and build identity for organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors using a variety of traditionaland evolving social media methods. Skilled at developing persuasive messaging and marketing strategies that resonate with the media, policymakers, funders and other select audiences.
