Overall, very good. The painters were on time. The proposal indicated 2 days at most to complete, and it was completed in a long 10 hour day with 2 painters. The color match downstairs for the ceiling, and walls in living room and kitchen was quite good. The color match for the upstairs was lighter/whiter than the chips provided to 89-Paint and it is noticeable but acceptable, and I noted that with the painters at the time. The painting itself was very good, there was very little mess, cleanup was very good. One exception - 3 weeks after job completion I stepped in a pool of paint under the leaves in the front yard near a planter where the painters cleaned tools/buckets and I tracked footprints - not happy about that.

I will start with the final project turned out ok, however getting there was a hassle. A three day job turned into a 7 day job because (luckily) I stopped by a day after the job was to be complete and the painters had painted the baseboard and trim the same color as the walls and the job was not done. The contract clearly stated white trim. They rushed to bring a team in on Sunday to fix and compete the job because we had flooring guys coming in Monday, which I made VERY clear when meeting with the PM to go over the job. When I got to the house Monday AM, the job was not done and there were glaring issues. One coat of paint vs two, oak bathroom hardware had been painted over, there were walls with peeling paint, missed patches, trim that hadn't been painted, furniture and fixtures that had not been rehung, window painted shut, paint had been tracked on the deck. After two more walk throughs, there were still a few more things that needed fixed and they did that on the spot. I will say the did stain our patio for free because of all the issues. At the end of the job, the PM (not the original one I met with for the job) let me know that he'd gotten our job 1 day after their supposed start date and that he was also supposed to come to the house before the job and do a walk through with me to make sure he knew what to paint and what not to paint. Overall poor communication and hassle. They also left all of their trash at our home and we found tarps and paint in our back yard hidden behind a tree. I will say they were pleasant to talk to and took ownership on their mistakes but I would not recommend 89-paint to anyone on the shear fact that their communication skills are lacking. I had to call to confirm painting dates multiple times and still no one called to let me know that they were going to take longer than three days and we are still finding spots that were poorly painted or are peeling. My husband worked this weekend to fix it because that was easier than having them come back out. At least we got to keep the remaining paint.
