Introduction: I am an experienced and versatile copy editor of business, scientific, and technical content. I established Van Beuren Publication Services in 2001 and through it provide redaction (all levels of complexity, digital and hard copy, graphics and text) and proofreading of professional books, peer-reviewed journal articles and dissertations as well as resumes and corporate marketing materials, ranging from brochures to email campaign content. My clients have included the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, The Geological Society of America, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Fisheries Society, Halliburton, George Mason University (contracted by a faculty to refine papers for Elsevier and Springer-Verlag journals), and CampusWorks Inc., a higher-education business-services company. I am very well-versed in the Chicago Manual of Style but also am familiar with other formal styles (e.g., MLA, APA and AP) and with following house (internal) styles.
